I have had a camera in my hands since I was thirteen years old and founded Maggie Mills Photography in 2012 while earning my degree in Commercial Photography at Appalachian State University. Over the last decade in the wedding industry, I have intentionally refined my craft — blending fine art film photography with documentary storytelling to create imagery that feels honest, elegant, and enduring.
I accept a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple receives my full attention, creative energy, and care. This allows me to truly know my couples, understand their priorities, and approach each wedding day with calm presence and thoughtful direction.

Film Photography
Film plays a meaningful role in my work. Its softness, depth, and timeless quality allow moments to feel preserved rather than posed — rich with emotion and authenticity. Film forces me to slow down; a rare gift on a busy wedding day! Film allows us to honor your story with the patience and care it deserves — preserving your wedding day not just as it looked, but as it felt.
Your wedding will be photographed using a blend of film and digital, ensuring both artistry and reliability. This hybrid approach allows me to document fleeting, unscripted moments while also crafting timeless portraits that feel effortless and refined.
The result is a gallery that feels cohesive, emotional, and deeply personal — one that tells the full story of your day.

-add one roll of film to your session for an additional $150 to cover the cost of film, shipping, developing & scanning
-once the scans hit my inbox, I will tweak the images and add them to your final gallery for you to enjoy! the turnaround time is slower to give time for shipping & developing

If you're ready to take the next step and officially become an MMP Couple, then I will be so incredibly thrilled & honored to be your photographer! I send all booking information through Honeybook where you'll be able to view your client portal, make payments, and electronically sign your contract to make us official! You can even set up autopay for future payments. From there we proceed to the fun stuff like scheduling your engagement session!

This is the opening act of the play and will set the stage for the rest of your MMP Wedding Experience! We will get stunning portraits of the two of you and I’ll teach you how to nail each pose so you feel confident and true to yourself in front of the camera. But we’ll also work on establishing the ever-important vendor-client relationship that is crucial to success on the wedding day!

We’ve already been in touch various times. You planner and I have exchanged timelines, you’ve filled out your timeline & questionnaire document from me and now it’s time to go over everything one last time! During this call we will talk through the timeline and I’ll go over each aspect of the day with you and what you can expect! I answer any last minute questions you have and remind you that you can call, text, email, DM, anything, anytime during this week because it’s wedding week!

We made it, friend!! All you should be doing today is drinking lots of champagne, laughing with your girls, and snuggling with that handsome new husband of yours!! We make sure to keep all stress off of you, keep you present & in the moment, and focused on the excitement of the day! We create timelines to be able to be flexible and adjust as needed because it is, after all, a wedding day. Your momma will love us and so will your bridal party, trust me!

Most weddings do best with 9 hours of coverage but if you have multiple locations, a longer reception, or earlier ceremony, you might need more coverage. But you’re in luck my friends. This is something that sets me apart from the other photographers out there because I will create a preliminary timeline with you before you even book me as your photographer!! Why? Because having a professional lead you this early on in the process and give you an idea of what your day could look like is so helpful! This will allow you to better communicate with your other vendors and envision the different details that need attention.

Oh darling yes. There is simply too much going on in a day for me to manage it alone and my team helps me to be able to focus on you two! I have a trusty team of seconds that have been with me for years and they even took over weddings for me while I was on maternity leave! They’re incredible and such a key part of your wedding day experience as well.

Listen, I get it. Your life has so much going on and adding another thing to the list feels impossible. Engagement sessions are great because they’re unhurried, romantic, and so much fun! That shoot really sets the stage for your wedding day and that allows you to shake out any awkwardness you may feel so you’re 100% confident and comfortable on the wedding day! I don’t want to force people to hang out with me but I hope you see the value in taking the time to get to know me, my process, and what it’s like to be in front of my camera. It is 100% complimentary so it’s there for you to use if you want it, but it cannot be deducted from the collection.

I deliver all images via an online gallery from which you’ll be able to view, download, and order prints! That’s available 6-8 post wedding, but I make sure you have some stunning previews within 48 hours after the wedding as well have a full blog post up within a week! So you will have plenty of fun images before you receive your full gallery. You can expect about 50-100 per hour of coverage. Standard wedding galleries have on average between 700-1000+ images.

Let’s pop the champagne and get this party started! First things first, we set up a time for us to chat and go over all things wedding planning! Once you’ve confirmed that you want to book me as your photographer, I’ll be so thrilled and send over to you a proposal that has all of the details of your custom collection. You’ll be able to make the non-refundable deposit in order to book the date and that is usually either 50% or 33%, depending on whether you choose to divide payments into two or three installments. And then you’re booked and we can get started on engagement session scheduling & preparations!
